At Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church, we are young, old, male, female, white, black, biracial, multiracial, straight, gay, bisexual, single, dating, married, divorced, widowed, with children, without children, artistic, musical, witty, sober, seeking sobriety, rich, poor, mentally at peace, coping with mental illness, grieving, happy, healthy, sick, and injured.
Some of us can trace our spiritual beginning to a cradle in this sacred space; others of us have only just begun our relationship with Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church. When you come to worship, you get a sense of who we are. Something draws us to each other; something not communicated well by word or voice but felt and acknowledged deep within each of us. When we walk through the doors of the sanctuary, we know we are home, loved, and treasured in spite of and because of who we are.
If you are seeking a community where you feel at home and at peace, not only acknowledged but accepted, we have a place for you. We welcome you to visit, feel what makes Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church unlike others, and draws us together. What we can offer you is what we have outlined in our welcoming statement:
“Drawn together by the loving grace of God, we of Quapaw Quarter United Methodist Church believe there are no inherent barriers to living in relationship with Christ. We welcome into our faith community people of all ages, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, physical and mental abilities, economic means and family structures.”
Simply put: We offer love without exception.
