Rev. Keith Coker

Rev. Keith Coker was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was raised in Russellville, where he graduated from high school. He holds a B.A. in Psychology (with Distinction) from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. Keith also has a J.D. from the UALR (now Bowen) School of Law in Little Rock. He practiced law in Russellville for 16 years before joining a personal injury firm in Little Rock in 2006. After five years there, Keith was hired as the assistant pastor at Conway First United Methodist Church, where he oversaw the buildings, facilities, insurance, and personnel matters, and had other administrative duties. He was at First Conway from 2011 through 2016.
Keith grew up in the Presbyterian Church (USA), where he was an ordained deacon and elder and a commissioned lay pastor. He was pastor of Atkins Memorial Presbyterian from 1995 to 1997. Becoming a United Methodist in 2008, Keith preached at Conway First UMC’s early service from January 2011 until May 2011. He was then appointed to Plumerville UMC for four years and England First UMC for two years. He was appointed to Quapaw Quarter UMC as full-time local pastor in July 2017.
Keith is married to the former Sarah Kate Meriwether of Conway. They have two sons, Sam (20), a junior at Hendrix College, and Joe (18) who will be at Hendrix this fall as a freshman.
